Now that we are one bank, we want to make sure you have all the latest information. You can find answers here on our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.
Byline Bank (“Byline”) and First Security Trust and Savings Bank (“First Security”) are joining together to better serve you. Together, we share similar values, which we believe will help us become stronger and allow us to deliver and expand the products and services you value, while remaining committed to our community.
Byline is a lot like First Security. We’re both Chicagoland-based banks that invest heavily in the individuals, businesses, nonprofits and communities we’re privileged to serve. Byline is a full-service commercial bank offering a full array of banking products and loan services tailored to meet the unique needs of our retail and business customers and is a top SBA lender nationally. Byline has been serving the Chicagoland area for more than 100 years and operates more than 40 retail branch locations across the local neighborhoods we call home.
As of April 1, 2025, First Security has legally merged into Byline Bank. Any reference to First Security should be deemed a reference to Byline, as we are now one company. But it will still be business as usual until we fully transition First Security to Byline Bank’s brand and systems on April 14.
While First Security has merged into Byline, you won’t see many immediate changes to your First Security accounts or services. Until April 11, continue banking with First Security as you always have. Please refer to the Welcome Book for more information about key dates and banking impacts.
Most importantly, you’ll continue to have the personalized service you’ve come to expect from First Security over the years. Our commitment to you and our communities will not change. We’re dedicated to making this transition straightforward for you.
We have mailed all First Security customers a detailed Welcome Book with information about your new Byline Bank accounts and services, as well as important dates, banking impacts to expect, and actions you’ll need to take as part of the transition to Byline. The Welcome Book and other customer communications we have sent are also available to view online.
If you have additional questions, feel free to call your banker or visit the branch for assistance.
