Our Weekend at the 25th Annual Classic Golf Fiesta Mexicana!
On June 19, Byline was honored to support the Little Village Chamber of Commerce’s 25th Annual Classic Golf Fiesta Mexicana as a hole sponsor of the fundraiser, which was held on the Village Greens of Woodridge.
With a slogan of Tu México, Tu Chicago, the Chamber reflects Little Village’s proud identity as the largest Mexican community in the Midwest, a fact also reflected by the many unique Mexican specialty products available from local merchants.
The area, which is part of Chicagoland’s thriving and swiftly growing West Side, is home to more than 1,000 businesses (and—rapidly—counting), and the Chamber is proud to support their endeavors by fulfilling its mission to, “promote and support the growth and success of businesses in Little Village and to leverage the community’s unique cultural identity to generate new opportunities.”
For more than 30 years, Chamber members have worked tirelessly to build strong partnerships with business and community leaders, government agencies, law enforcement officers, corporate partners, elected officials and others to address the issues that affect both the community and the general commercial area.
This year’s Golf Outing was a perfect example of how the Chamber provides resources for “both sides of the aisle” to meet and mingle with one another at a mutually supportive networking event that both celebrates the area’s diversity and points to even more potential opportunities to continue its meteoric growth.
This balance of inclusion, diversity, respect and drive to succeed made Byline particularly honored to be asked to help support the event. As a hole sponsor, our local branch Byliners showed their own Little Village pride by manning our table, sharing promo items and info with interested local businesses, and generally demonstrating our desire to be a real part of the fabric of the community.
