Our Time at Brookfield’s National Night Out Event
On Wednesday, August 7, Byline was honored to join with other local citizens, businesses and community organizations to serve as a sponsor of “Brookfield Safety Town’s” National Night Out Event at Brookfield’s Civic Plaza and the Safety Building.
The event, which relies wholly on fundraising and volunteer support, provided a wealth of information on everything from internet safety and disaster preparedness to bully prevention and identity-theft prevention. But there were plenty of entertaining options (especially for younger attendees) as well, including a dunk tank, a chance for attendees to “meet” the Waukesha County Canine Unit, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team, a rock-climbing wall and a bounce house!
The Event takes an extraordinary amount of planning and organization to put on, and adult volunteers from the Brookfield community who are interested in helping the Brookfield Task Force on Public Safety Education, Inc. with its public safety education programs meet weekly from January to July to pull the Night Out together.
This level of dedication to community safety and awareness inspires us at Byline, and we were proud to be a part of the Event. We work hard to be a good neighbor in our communities, and it’s rewarding to see our communities raising the bar—both on us and on themselves—as well.
Byline has been a proud part of Chicagoland and its surroundings for over 100 years, and we take our responsibility to our neighborhoods very seriously. It’s an honor to be a trusted bank where we live and work, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the people around us who keep their neighborhoods strong and vibrant. We’re just where we want to be.
