Our Day at the Devonshire County Fair
On Sunday, October 6, Byline was honored to join with other civic and community leaders as a sponsor of Skokie Park District’s Devonshire County Fair.
The Fair was held at the Devonshire Cultural Center, one of the Park District’s prime properties and a real center of community life. The award-winning center is home to music lessons, children’s theatre, dance classes, early childhood enrichment programs, culinary arts, visual arts classes, performing arts camps, a state licensed preschool program and the Skokie Art Guild and Devonshire Community Playhouse.
The Skokie Park District itself has offered programming for more than 63,000 area residents and worked tirelessly to protect the community’s natural resources, preserve historical sites and provide thousands of recreational offerings within its more-than 240 acres of parkland since 1928. The Devonshire County Fair is one such offering, and a landmark in the Park District’s fall festive season.
This year was no different. The Fair offered something for comers of all ages, including performances by Heroes & Princesses and The Spin Project featuring student DJs spinning the decks, a petting zoo, hay wagon rides, a bounce house, games, mini-pumpkin decorating, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, circus activities and live performances of blues, folk and country music.
Byline has been a proud part of Chicagoland for over 100 years, and we take our responsibility to our neighborhoods very seriously. It’s an honor to be a trusted bank where we live and work, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the people who keep each of our diverse communities strong and vibrant. We’re just where we want to be.
