Our Time Supporting the Skokie Park District’s Scream Scene
This spooky season, Byline was proud to join with local business leaders as a sponsor of Skokie Park District’s annual Scream Scene Haunted House. Skokie, a busy and vibrant community, is a critical piece of Chicagoland’s North Shore neighborhood identity and the Village is proud of its extraordinarily diverse population.
Scream Scene was held at the Skokie Water Playground, as it has been every October since 1997. The playground, which has a completely different vibe during Chicagoland’s Midwestern summers, provides the perfect “skeleton” for a terrifying thrillscape, come Halloween. This year, the Park District decorators outdid themselves. Chainsaw maniacs, crazed clowns, and a host of new characters, sets and scenes that fulfilled the event’s promise to “scare the wits out of” attendees.
The Skokie Park District has offered programming for more than 63,000 area residents and worked tirelessly to protect the community’s natural resources, preserve historical sites and provide thousands of recreational offerings within its more-than 240 acres of parkland since 1928. The Water Playground is one such offering and is a landmark Park District destination during both summer and fall.
Byline has been a proud part of Chicagoland for over 100 years, and we take our responsibility to our neighborhoods very seriously. It’s an honor to be a trusted bank where we live and work, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the people who keep each of our diverse communities strong and vibrant. We’re just where we want to be.
