Our Night at the 2020 Heart of Gold Ball
On March 7, Byline was honored to join with Chicagoland’s local business, civic and community leaders in support of the Oak Park and River Forest community’s longstanding commitment to the Hephzibah Children’s Association as a sponsor of the 2020 Heart of Gold Ball at Bridgeport Art Center’s Skyline Loft.
The Association began in 1897 as a literal home-within-a-private home for many of the community’s least-served children. Since then, it has become a justifiably and internationally recognized agency whose mission is “to enhance the safety and well-being of children while preserving the dignity of parents and families.”
Today, the Association fulfills this mission through its service to more than 1,000 children and their families every year, providing and funding group homes for neglected and abused children; services for families struggling with issues including poverty, disease, mental illness, substance abuse or homelessness; foster care and adoption programs; Head Start and Early Head Start programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers from low-income families; and award-winning after-school daycare on a sliding scale for families of all income levels.
The Heart of Gold Ball, which is the Association’s largest fundraiser of the year, made sure the hundreds of Hephzibah supporters had plenty to do and no problems coming up with ways to contribute to the evening’s donations: the night included cocktails, live and silent auctions, dinner, dancing and more.
Byline has been a proud and integral part of Chicagoland for over 100 years, and we take our responsibility to our neighborhoods and those who serve them—like the Hephzibah Association—very seriously. It’s an honor to be a trusted bank where we live and work, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to give back our own time and talents to the people around us who keep their communities strong and vibrant. We’re just where we want to be.
