The company was started in 1961 by my father, Jack Kupczak. He had been in the spring industry his whole life, starting at age 14, and he worked his way up from delivery boy to a managerial position before going out on his own. I joined him in the business in 1962, doing whatever was needed. The rest is history.
In 1996, I started a second business, RK Trading Co., which imports, sells and services high tech CNC forming equipment. If you bend, form, coil or grind spring and wire products, chances are we have the equipment to suit your manufacturing needs. We have grown our business through providing exceptional customer service with an uncompromising dedication to producing quality products at fair prices. We’ve had a relationship with Rob Romano for over 20 years, starting when he was with another banking institution. When that bank was sold, Rob and several others from the acquired bank went to the acquiring company for a while but it was clear that their operating styles didn’t mesh. Soon, Rob left for First Bank & Trust, now Byline Bank. For any business, changing banks is a traumatic experience. I’ve sat on bank boards and know that in most cases, a business moves their account because the institution they are using no longer meets their needs. We stayed with the other bank but it became apparent that they didn’t understand our business or our needs, so we contacted Rob and moved. The changeover was smooth and seamless. Rob and his team made it easy.

Byline has been great. This is banking as it’s supposed to be! They keep in touch, ask questions, and work to understand our needs.
