Winter magic comes to Winnetka to celebrate the season

On November 24, Elves dropped off a magical mailbox at the Winnetka Park District so that children of all ages could mail their letters to Santa. The mailbox was packed up on December 19 so that the elves could take the letters to the North Pole for Santa.

Next, the annual Winnetka Tree Lighting ceremony was held on December 3 at Dwyer Park. Attendees enjoyed free hot chocolate, hot apple cider, cookies, and candy canes. After the tree was lit, guests were able to visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus and one of Santa’s Elves! On December 10, there was a special drive-in movie at the Winnetka Golf Club to watch Polar Express. During the movie, each child received popcorn and other treats.
