Our Summer Night at the Steak Fry Fundraiser!
On July 12, Byline had the opportunity to support the Berwyn Park District and Kiwanis Club of Berwyn at their annual Steak Fry Fundraiser through our partnership with the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC).
Byline is proud to support local and community, civic and business partnerships throughout Chicagoland, but it’s never hard to convince our branch Byliners to commit to “working” in the park on a gorgeous July summer’s evening (finally!) as the smell of grilling steak and sound of laughing families filled the air.
Proceeds from the Fry, as with all of Berwyn Park District and Kiwanis Club’s other idyllic summer events, go to support community initiatives and opportunities in the City. Byline is honored to play a small part in these festivities and to support the BDC in its endeavors to get the word out about the great corner of Chicagoland our locals call home.
This July, the Steak Fry Fundraiser was a great example of this partnership, and we at Byline plan to be a part of many more nights in the park…even if they’re not serving steak and baked potatoes, delicious sides, dessert and offerings from a cash bar.
The BDC is unique in that it is both a public and a private partnership with the city of Berwyn and it provides both chamber services and economic development to all segments of the community. Berwyn and the BDC support a busy and inclusive local agenda, focusing on educational and engagement tools for residents: from Women in Business workshops and the beloved local quarterly, “Berwyn” magazine, to support for the city’s “active nightlife spots, progressive policies and focus on creating more independent businesses.”
We understand this commitment to community engagement. Byline has been proud to be a trusted partner in the Chicagoland neighborhoods that we’ve called home for over 100 years. We are honored to serve where our patrons also live, work and play right alongside us. We know that it’s in all our best interests to keep our unique and varied communities thriving. We wouldn’t have it any other way: we’re just where we want to be.
