Byline Bank Receives 2018 SBA Export Lender of the Year Award
WASHINGTON D.C. – Byline Bank was honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the 2018 SBA Export Lender of the Year for small lending institutions, during a ceremony at the 11th annual SBA Export Lender Roundtable in Washington, D.C. Byline Bank was recognized for its efforts to increase access to capital for United States companies, providing international trade financing to small businesses with $16.1 million in export loans in fiscal year 2017.
“I want to congratulate and thank Byline Bank for helping small business exporters expand, create high-wage jobs for American workers and advance small business innovation,” said SBA Administrator Linda McMahon. “SBA export lenders play a pivotal role in helping small business exporters to compete and succeed in the global market.”
“This award is meaningful to our team, who pride themselves in helping provide small businesses with the access to capital and financing solutions they need,” said Bruce Lammers, President of Small Business Capital, the SBA lending division of Byline Bank. “To know we’ve made a difference in the niche export market is especially gratifying.”
According to the SBA, 98% of all U.S. exporters are small businesses. During fiscal year 2017, the SBA guaranteed $659.6 million in financing to small business exporters, supporting more than ten thousand jobs. The SBA’s international trade finance programs to small businesses are designed to help small businesses develop new markets, finance export transactions, and expand production capacity to meet overseas demand.
