Notes on our Day at the Tinley Park Bulldogs Baseball and Softball Annual Golf Outing
On May 17, Byline was proud to serve as a sponsor at the Tinley Park Bulldogs Baseball and Softball Annual Golf Outing. The day, which was held at the beautiful and eco-friendly Forest Preserve George W. Dunne National Golf Course in Oak Forest, was a benefit for Tinley Park Youth Baseball. (Fun fact and a perfect example of putting our money where our local mouths are: Byline also sponsors the League (including the littlest T-ballers – go Bulldogs!).
For coming-up ballplayers and fans of any age, one place is the HQ of America’s Game: Cooperstown, New York. It’s the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the legendary Doubleday Field, as well as a fan pilgrimage site for around 500,000 visitors every year. Funds raised during this annual League Outing will cover a huge part of sending Tinley Park Bulldogs teams to compete for themselves at Dreams Park in 2020.
Branch Byliners set up shop on the green as tournament-goers gamely chipped away for such prizes as Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt and more. There were certainly no losers on the day, though – everyone got to enjoy the satisfaction of helping to make a baseball player’s dream come true.
Byline understands the importance of continuity and tradition and we’re honored to have been a part of this year’s Outing. We love this town.
