In Concert with the Indigo Girls
On Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, Byline was honored to partner with Chicagoland civic and community leaders—as well as scores of folk-rock music lovers—to support Beyond Hunger at the two night Indigo Girls concerts at Pilsen’s Thalia Hall and FitzGerald’s in Berwyn.
The Indigo Girls concerts were an extended benefit for Beyond Hunger (formerly Oak Park River Food Pantry), which every year provides hunger relief and essential programming to 40,000 residents of 13 zip codes, including the west side of Chicago and many of its surrounding suburbs.
The Indigo Girls, who have been performing to loyal fans for more than 20 years, have made unity one of their defining missions as musicians, as well as issues around faith, love and politics. This holistic desire to bring the healing power of music to such a holistic array of causes made them the natural frontwomen for the musical event, and the folk-rock duo—who have sold more than 15 million albums—did not disappoint the legions of devotees who gladly lined up to hear their heroines sing…all in the name of a great cause.
Byline was proud to support the benefit, and the tireless volunteers, donors and staff of Beyond Hunger, who work to better their communities and the lives of the people within them, every day.
We’ve been a proud and integral part of Chicagoland for over 100 years, and we take our responsibility to our neighborhoods very seriously. It’s an honor to be a trusted bank where we live and work, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to give back our own time and talents to the people around us who keep their neighborhoods strong and vibrant. We’re just where we want to be.
