Our Evening at the Taste of Uptown
On Wednesday, September 26 Byline was honored to join hundreds of Uptown and Chicagoland foodies at the 4th Annual Taste of Uptown. The event has rapidly become a yearly fixture in the neighborhood with more than 20 local eateries joining the festivities.
Buena Park is a niche neighborhood in a city filled with unique spots to call home: tucked between Lake Michigan and Graceland Cemetery, the tight-knit community is a nationally recognized historic district, loved for its many tree-lined blocks and Prairie-style historic mansions. And, as it turned out, awesome food!
Guests were taken on a “global, culinary adventure” as they strolled and nibbled their way across Uptown’s culturally rich, local-restaurant community. This championship of the neighborhood’s diversity is a main aim of the Chamber for Uptown, which is committed to leading efforts to build a strong, unified business environment; facilitate economic development; and strengthen the community in order to nurture a diverse, vibrant, thriving, and strong Uptown.
One of the things that Byline has loved the most during its more than a century serving the areas where our customers live and work is the chance to really see what it’s like to live inside these Chicagoland gems—by getting to know the people who call it home. We’re proud to be able to give back and add value to everyone who inspires us. It’s like we always say: we love this town.
