On June 17-18, 2017, Byline was thrilled to sponsor the annual Chicago Pride Fest celebrating National Pride Month.
For over 40 years, the Broadway Byline branch has been in the neighborhood proudly supporting banking and lending assistance to the LGBTQ community. The Byline team was excited to volunteer and support the community to show the neighborhood what Byline is about at this year’s annual Pride Fest.
Region Manager Tony Baeza shared, “ We had business owners who knew that they could come into our doors without fear of being discriminated against and not be judged. It was a great time because the whole neighborhood changed for the better. They built successful businesses that changed along with the neighborhoods. These businesses were safe places for the LGBT community; they hired employees, and helped revitalize Lakeview East, Halsted and Wrigleyville areas.”
Our bond to our communities always included doing right by our customers and upholding diversity and inclusion. Our branches, customers and employees reflect the vibrant and diverse communities in which we serve. When local business flourish, so does the neighborhood and its residents.
